I’m Leanne Shear, Strategy Consultant and Coach for Nontraditional Founders.
I've always been the consummate connector of women - a social alchemist, if you will - and the embodiment of female empowerment, so it’s very fitting that my first company’s motto was Strong Women Uplift Each Other. That enterprise was Uplift, a progressive fitness studio, female society, and female empowerment consultancy.
The natural pivot from Uplift was into a successful career as a sought-after business coach for founders and rising executives, as well as a consultant, where I work as a strategist with startups (both for-profit and non-profit) specializing in the building phase. Working from a mix of cities on the east and west coast (and Paris, too!), I also co-host a podcast, collaborate on book-writing, and speak/facilitate widely.
I’m a work hard/play hard kind of woman: off the clock, I’m a huge reader, runner, pickle-ball player, Happy Hour lover, and Buffalo Bills fan. Most importantly, my family and friends are everything to me!

A Legacy
Consciousness-Raising began in the 1960s as a way for Second-Wave feminists to gather and bring their so-called “personal” issues into public spaces, and, ultimately, to use them as catalysts for social change.
Applied Today
In this work, we honor that heritage and apply the concept to the journey from inner shift to real-world impact, which is the inflection point where I help people and organizations scale progress and build their legacy.
